Catfish Derby Days fishing contest results

Despite the cancellation of other Catfish Derby Days events due to COVID-19, the fishing contest was held on the river near Franklin this past weekend. Pictured are the winners of the contest. Above: Charles Scheer of Hanley Falls with the largest Flathead at 39.77 pounds. Second place went to Monde Grunke of Morgan, weighing in at 37.62 pounds, and third place, with a 35.7-pound flathead, was Jeremy Rausch of Spender, IA. The largest Channel Cat was caught by James Taylor of St. James at 18.49 pounds. In the Junior Division, the largest Flathead was caught by Gabe Grunke of Morgan, MN at 24.92 pounds, and the largest Channel Cat was caught by Aria Hutching of Hanley Falls, MN at 9.3 pounds.
