Cedar Mountain Class of 2020 Graduation Special Section

Cedar Mountain High School graduated its Class of 2020 on Friday, May 29 in a rather unusual way. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, traditional graduation ceremonies were not allowed, so Cedar Mountain held a parking lot graduation. Graduates and their families sat in their vehicles in the school parking lot with their radios tuned to KLGR, while recorded speeches from Valedictorian Shaylee Schiller, and Salutatorian Katelyn Lorang were played on a big screen and on the radio. Scholarships were also awarded, and Superintendent Rob Brandl addressed the class. Following the speeches, Brandl proceeded to visit each graduate in their vehicle to present their diploma. After the commencement exercises were over, families of the graduates, led by the Morgan Fire and Ambulance Department, paraded through Morgan and Franklin so area residents could congratulate them. (Submitted photos)
