The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars faced off against the Bluejays of Central Minnesota Christian in Prinsburg on Monday, January 13 in a Section 2A battle.

The Bluejays took control of the game early, and the Lady Cougars didn’t have an answer for their tough defense. They just couldn’t get their shots to fall.

At the halftime break, the Cougars were facing a 15-48 deficit.

Cedar Mountain continued to struggle in the second half, plagued by turnovers and continued cold shooting. They rebounded well, but weren’t able to turn those opportunities into points on the board.

In the end, the Bluejays came away with the victory, with a final score of 24-68.

Megan Sandgren led the Cougars with 10 points, one assist, three rebounds, and two blocks, followed by Trista Smith with five points, two assists, seven rebounds, and one steal.

Madison Heiling added four points, one assist, four rebounds and two steals, Emma Sullivan and Bella Harmoning added two points each, and Teresa Larsen rounded out the scoring with one free throw.
