Diane Dreier, age 82, of Fairfax, MN passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at South View Living Center in Gibbon, MN.

Memorial Service will be Friday, January 5, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax with Pastor Kent Krumwiede officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 9:00-11:00 a.m. (2 hours prior), all at the church on Friday.

Diane Sedell Dreier was born on August 4, 1941, in New Ulm, MN. She was the daughter of Irvin and Alma (Jameson) Kvam. Diane was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth, both at Central Lutheran Church, Camp Township, Renville County, Minnesota. She received her education in Franklin and was a graduate of the Franklin High School Class of 1959. Diane furthered her education at Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD.

On May 28, 1960, Diane was united in marriage to LeRoy Sandgren at Central Lutheran Church in Camp Township, Renville County, Minnesota. To this union four children were born, Julie, Cindy, Mike and Tim.

On October 8, 1983, Diane was united in marriage to Hilary Dreier at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax. Diane was the Post Master in Fairfax for 31 years, retiring in 2006. Diane and Hilary shared 31 years of marriage when Hilary passed away on January 30, 2015.

Diane was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax and served as treasurer for 20 years. She was also a member of the Legion Auxiliary in Fairfax.

Diane enjoyed traveling, golfing, was a pilot and owned several planes, watching her grandchildren’s activities and socializing with her coffee group. She cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

When she needed assistance with her daily care, Diane became a resident of South View Living Center in Gibbon. Blessed be her memory.

Diane is survived by her children, Cindy Thorp and her husband, Rick of Brooklyn Park, MN, Mike Sandgren and his wife, Kari of Franklin, MN, and Tim Sandgren and his wife, Angela of Franklin, MN; step-sons, Todd (Geri) Dreier of Waconia, MN, Scott (Joan) Dreier of Apple Valley, MN, and Jeff (Marlene) Dreier of Elbow Lake, MN; grandchildren, Becky Eisenbraun, Travis (Tracy) Eisenbraun, Rick (Nichole) Thorp, Kevin (Danielle) Thorp, Kristine Thorp (Justin Wolff), Luke Sandgren, Tyler Sandgren, Dylan Sandgren, Megan Sandgren, Nathan Sandgren, and Zachary Sandgren; step-grandchildren, Courtney Eisenbraun, Jared (Amy) Dreier, Sarah (Blaine) Walstrom, Melissa (Jake) Johnson, Mitchell (Clair) Dreier, Chelsey Anderson, Corey Anderson, Shelby Beech and Scott Beech; great-grandchildren, Alex Engen, Dirk Thorp, Killian Thorp, Lauralee Thorp, Jep Thorp, Thea Thorp, Jackson Thorp, Maci Thorp and Madison Eisenbraun; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hilary Dreier; parents, Irvin and Alma Kvam; daughter, Julie Eisenbraun; son-in-law, Pat Eisenbraun; and brother, David Kvam.
