The Fairfax EDA hosted an informational meeting on May 18 to gather public input and provide an update on the situation with the grocery store building.
The meeting began with a presentation outlining the recent efforts by the EDA to find someone to run the store. She also talked through some of the ideas that the EDA had discussed, and asked. Those in attendance for suggestions.

As of June 1, CODE3 Bowling & Party in Gibbon will be operating under new ownership.
Several years ago, when Dave and Sarah Dalgleish’s son Victor joined the school bowling team, they had no idea that they would later become owners of the local bowling alley.
“We blame Jake Kramer,” laughed Sarah. “Jake got our son into bowling,” David explained.

The new Fairfax Veterinary Clinic is now open for business! The inside is spacious and functional and includes exam rooms, a radiology room, a large area for supplies and a dental cleaning station. The Morgan Lions Post 207 held a collection for plastic a while back. From all the plastic they collected, over 1,500 pounds, they were able to recycle it and get three new benches. The project took over two years to complete since they had to wait six months in between ordering the benches.
One was raffled off, one was donated to the City of Morgan and the third went to WeCare.

The GFW School Board met for their regular meeting on Monday, May 15.
After the agenda was approved, the Board recognized the District’s retirees, including bus driver John Wisch, and teachers Jeff Seehafer and Ardie Seehafer.
