Celebration of Life for Diane Kirchmann
Our beloved mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Diane Ruth (Wildt) Brey Kirchmann, age 77, of Martinez, CA, passed away from metastatic lung cancer at her home with family by her side, on Thursday September 14, 2023.
Diane’s Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Unity Minneapolis in Golden Valley, MN.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday November 5, 2023 at St. Michaels Cemetery, Morgan, MN. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. as a private event at the Broken Spoke Saloon in Morgan.
Diane was born on April 11, 1946 to Henry and Loretta Wildt in Morgan. She attended St. Michael’s Catholic Grade School and graduated in 1964 from Morgan Public High School. She continued her studies at Mankato State University.
She spent most of her career as an Executive Assistant at GMAC-RFC. In 2010, she retired and spent her time with family and friends.
As a mother, grandmother and mother-in-law, she was a force of nature, tirelessly giving, loving, supporting and advocating for everyone that fell under her umbrella. In 2018, she moved to California to be closer to her adult children who live there. She loved being in nature, reading and walking.
Diane will be lovingly remembered by her boyfriend, Denny Ninow, Madison Lake, MN; sister, Mariann Wildt, Mankato, MN; brother, Dennis (Sue) Wildt, Morgan, MN; sister-in-law, Agnes Wildt, New Ulm, MN; Chuck (Cindy) Brey, Cushing, MN (father of her children), Anita Brey, San Francisco, CA; Colin Brey, Sunnyvale, CA; and Chad (Anja) Brey, Martinez, CA; Bryan Kirchmann, Richfield, MN; (father of her stepchildren), Mikey Kirchmann, Minneapolis, MN; Matt (Lisa) Kirchmann, Delano, MN; Dan (Kelsey) Kirchmann, Crystal, MN; eight grandchildren, Joshua Kirchmann, Cory Strand, Kaylee Kirchmann, Addison and Samuel Kirchmann and Cora, August and Levi Kirchmann and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Wildt; and stepdaughter, Jennifer Kirchmann Erickson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society or Heifer International.
