Gordon “Gordy” Melvin Johnson of Franklin, MN died at age 92 on April 12, 2022.

A private burial service for close family members will be held at Swedlanda Lutheran Church in Hector, MN.

Gordy was born on October 22, 1929 to John and Hilda Johnson. Gordy was an Army veteran and farmed in Franklin. He enjoyed coffee and sweets, golfing, bowling, and fishing. Gordy had an ultimate passion for sports. He was fond of recounting stories reminiscing with laughter and good company.

He will be dearly missed by his countless family members, friends, and acquaintances.

Gordy is survived by his wife, Helen (Landgraff) Johnson; step-son, Cory (Kim) Schlechter; two step-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Johnson and mother, Hilda (Kulberg) Johnson; brothers, J.S. Edwin “Eddie” (Janie) Johnson, Russell “Buzz” (Betty) Johnson, and sister, Bernice Christenson.
