Myron Michael Dummer

Brother, step-father, step-grandfather, friend Myron M. Dummer, age 64, of Green Valley, AZ died peacefully in his home on October 1, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 at New Creation Church, 1124 N. River Drive, North Mankato, MN. A prayer service is planned for 11 a.m. with a lunch following. Masks encouraged. Please bring pictures, stories, experiences, and messages to share.

Myron grew up in rural Fairfax, MN and was a 1974 graduate of Fairfax High School. He attained his BS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (1996) and a Masters in Business Administration (1999), both at Minnesota State University Mankato.

Myron worked and consulted throughout the country at manufacturing corporations establishing quality and excellence. He recently retired to the climate he loved in Green Valley.

Myron enjoyed motorcycling, bicycling, playing softball, bird and nature watching, hiking, and was an avid Vikings and Twins fan. He will be greatly missed for his generosity, hugs, smiles, technical skills, characteristic laugh, and an “I am so blessed” affirmation. He made sure to remind people that life is a gift and to embrace each day like it’s the last.

Myron is survived by siblings, Wilfred (Traci) of Gaylord, MN, James of Honolulu, HI, Rosanne of Arlington, VA, Lucille (Paul) Heuton of Carroll, IA, Allan (Barb) of Woodbury, MN; sister’s-in-law, Rosemary and Anna; numerous nieces and nephews. He delighted in his step-daughter, Amanda Thomas and three step-grandchildren, Haven, Everly, and Braylee.

He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert and mother, Rosella; brothers, Louis and Joel; step-mother, Linnea (Johnson); and niece, Michelle.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Humane Society International, or Minnesota State University, Mankato.
