Rholony “Loni” Ahrens, age 73, of Fairfax, MN passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

Memorial Service will be Sunday, May 7, 2023, 2:30 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax with interment at a later date in Ft. Ridgely Cemetery, Ridgely Township, Nicollet County, MN. Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m. (1 and ½ hours prior), ALL at church.

Rholony “ Loni” Elizabeth Ahrens was born February 6, 1950, in Fairmont, MN. She was the daughter of Clarence and Rose (Breithbarth) Becker. Loni was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. She received her education at Fairfax High School.

On January 15, 1971, Loni was united in marriage to Earnie “Moon” Ahrens Jr at the Fairfax United Methodist Church. After their marriage, the couple resided in Redwood Falls, Morton, and finally Fairfax, so Loni could be closer to her siblings. Loni worked at Control Data, Morgans Red Owl Deli and finally for REM South Central Services - a job she particularly loved. She treasured her special relationships with her clients at REM. She was able to later retire from REM.

Loni enjoyed her dogs very much. Her Shih Tzu’s Shiloh, Susie, Willy and Buttons were like children to her. She really enjoyed her backyard in Morton, because of all the wildlife that would venture through. She enjoyed feeding the birds, particularly the Cardinals and Orioles, which were her favorites. Getting together with friends to play cards or with family to just “visit” were also activities Loni enjoyed doing. At the top of her list was being a Grandma, “Nana” to four grandchildren she adored.

Loni is survived by her husband, Earnie “Moon” Ahrens Jr of Fairfax, MN; son, Mike (Kathy) Becker of Mankato, MN, son, Earnie Ahrens III of Redwood Falls, MN; grandchildren, Aries Ahrens and special friend, Nate Gertken, Earnie “Chip” (Mackenzie) Ahrens IV, Uriah Ahrens and Sky Ahrens; sisters, Rosemarie (Eddie) Garrahy, Jodi Lund, Cindy Laframboise; brother, Dennis (Zetta) Becker; brother-in-law, Tom (Maggie) Ahrens; sister-in-law, Audrey Ahrens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Becker; mother, Rose Laframboise; brother, Roger Becker; sister-in-law, Shirley Becker; brothers-in-law, Dennis Lund, Jim Ahrens and Pat Ahrens.
