Mark Alan Isaacson was born on June 22, 1966 to Raymond and Lois (Weikle) Isaacson in Redwood Falls, MN. He grew up on the family farm in rural Franklin. He was baptized as an infant and later confirmed at Central Lutheran Church. As a youth, Mark was a member of the Bandon 4-H club raising and showing chickens at the County Fair. Mark graduated from Cedar Mountain High School, class of 1985. Following high school he attended Mankato State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. Mark worked at Artisan Technologies until his health deteriorated.
In Mark's thirties he was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which relentlessly attacked his body. When he could no longer care for himself at home, Mark had a caregiver reside with him until she passed away in 2019. At that time he became a resident at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Winthrop.
Mark was an avid reader his entire life. He enjoyed politics and science fiction. He was especially proud of his Finnish heritage and was quick to share some good Finnish humor. When Mark's mother suffered a stroke, he visited her daily at the nursing home.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents as well as Sharon Warrington, his caregiver of nearly 10 years. Mark will be remembered for his quick wit, intelligent conversations, his positive attitude, and dedication as a son.
Blessed be his memory.
