Randy Pagenkopf, age 65, of Winthrop, MN passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, in rural Henderson, MN.
Funeral Service was held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.
Randy Lee Pagenkopf was born on November 30, 1957, in Gaylord, MN. He was the son of John and Loretta (Gehrke) Pagenkopf. Randy was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in his faith as a youth, both at First Lutheran Church in Winthrop. He received his education in Winthrop and was a graduate of Winthrop High School Class of 1977.
On November 15, 2020, Randy was united in marriage to Deborah Thomas at Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop. After their marriage, the couple resided in Winthrop. Randy was employed for HTI, Dairyland Pest Control, Winfield and Heartland Corn Products. Most recently he owned and operated Randy’s Pest Control in Winthrop.
Randy was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Winthrop, the Trappers Association and Gibbon Sportsman Club.
Randy was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. Randy always had a fantastic garden that he shared with everyone. He was a great craftsman and was very creative. He took every opportunity to teach anyone about his favorite hobby – trapping. Randy cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.
Randy is survived by his wife, Deborah Lee Pagenkopf of Winthrop, MN; daughter, Alisa Ane Byro and her husband, Josh of Winthrop, MN; step-children, Rebecca (Chris) Yurchick, Ricky (Allison) Meadows; grandchild, Gavin Byro; step-grandchildren, Meadow and Willow Yurchick, London, Jonah, Harper and Bailey Meadows; sister, Mavis Pautz and her husband, Brian of Gibbon, MN; brother, Bradley Pagenkopf and his wife, Jessica of Glencoe, MN; nephews and nieces, Paul, Jonathan and James Pautz; Jackson, Shana and Keisha Prafke and Cassie Ling; and very special hunting and trapping buddies; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loretta Pagenkopf; and his sister, Bonnie Lee Pagenkopf.
