Evelyn “Pat” Fahey, age 95, of Fairfax, MN passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at her home in Fairfax.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 5, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax with Father Brendan Rolling officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Prayer Service will be at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024. Visitation will be Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. and will continue one hour prior to the service, all at the church.

Evelyn “Pat” Mary Paa was born on December 8, 1928, in New Ulm, MN. She was the daughter of Charles and Nita (Clyne) Paa. Pat was baptized, and later confirmed in the Catholic faith. She received her education in New Ulm.

On June 7, 1949, Pat was united in marriage to James Fahey in Fairfax. After their marriage, the couple farmed in Wellington Township. They were blessed with seven children. Pat and James shared 68 years of marriage until he passed away on January 22, 2018. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.

Pat was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Fairfax and St. Ann’s Group. Pat enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking, canning pickles, quilting, gardening and her flowers. She cherished the time she spent with her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pat is survived by her children, Susan Kirschbaum and her husband, Bradley of Minneapolis, MN, and AZ, Michael Fahey and his wife, Carolyn of Fairfax, Pam Nesburg and her special friend, Gene of Granite Falls, MN, Greg Fahey of Fairfax, Paula Andert of Clarkfield, MN, Jim Fahey of New Ulm, and Donna Hart and her husband, David of Plano, TX; grandchildren, Alex, Nick and Lauren Hart, Aaron and Jen Fahey, Amanda and Dave Stahl, Krystle and Chris Weyman, Holly and Beau Nachriener, Jenny and Josh Nelson, Dawn and Barry Evenstad, Jason Nesburg, Chad and Crystal Nesburg, Ryan and Amanda Nesburg, and Dan Andert; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Carl and Elaine Paa of New Ulm, MN, Harry and Karen Paa of New Ulm, MN; sisters-in-law, Deanna Paa of New Ulm, and Helen Fahey of Fairfax; brother-in-law, Dennis Anderson of New Ulm; faithful Companion her Dog, Mia; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Sr. and Nita Paa; husband, James Fahey; stepfather, Gordon Schroeck; baby in infancy; sisters, Dorothy Schultz, Janet Anderson and Kathy Adams; brothers, John, Charles and Kenneth Paa.
