Janis Rosenthal was born on August 28, 1941, in Fairfax, MN and passed away peacefully at her home in Green Valley, AZ on November 12, 2024, she was surrounded with her loved ones.

A celebration of life and service was held on December 16, 2024 at the Country Club of Green Valley, AZ for family and friends. A burial service will be held at the Fort Ridgely State Cemetery where Janis will be interned near her parents and awaits her husband and sons. This will be followed by a celebration of life in Fairfax for Minnesota relatives, friends and classmates, date TBD.

A devoted mother and wife, Janis raised her family in Minneapolis and Robbinsdale, MN and worked as a nurse at Stevens Square and Jones Harrison nursing homes.

Janis's first husband Tony sadly passed away in 2008. She later reunited with her first soulmate Tom, and they were married in Fairfax, MN in 2013. Their life was happy and peaceful, traveling, golf, bridge, hockey and sharing food and drinks and time with family and friends.

Janis was preceded in death by her parents Mahlon (Iola) Rosenthal; sister, Kathleen; and first husband, Tony Keller.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom Bushard; sister, Cynthia (Thomas) Rieke; children, Matt Keller and John Keller; niece, Sara (Nate) Kopel; nephews, Jeff (Karen) Rieke and Steven (Cheristi) Rieke; stepson's, Adam (Jenny) Bushard and Mike Bushard; step-grandchildren, Stella Bushard and Ryder Bushard; and many friends.
