Lorraine Louise (Wittenberg) Engebretson, age 101, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2024 in Carrollton, TX.

Lorraine was born on July 6, 1923 in Moltke Township near Gibbon, MN to Henry and Clara Wittenberg. She attended Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church and School.

Lorraine married Clair Engebretson in Gibbon on September 1, 1951. They celebrated over fifty years of marriage. While raising their family, they lived in Young America and Mankato. A longtime resident of Mankato, Lorraine enjoyed working at Brett‘s department store for many years and was a member of Saint Mark Lutheran Church in Mankato.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Wayne Engebretson of Penrose, CO, Al (Connie) Engebretson of Poncha Springs, CO, and Joan (Don) Gulliksen of Carrollton, TX; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Clair; son Bruce; as well as her siblings.

She will be interred beside Clair at Woodland Hills Cemetery.
