JUDY ANN (SCHROEDER) BEMMELS

JUDY ANN (SCHROEDER) BEMMELS

Judy Ann (Schroeder) Bemmels, 76, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026.

Born in Fairfax, Minnesota, Judy grew up surrounded by family and small-town values that remained important to her during life.  Throughout her life, she and her family made homes in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Florida, each place bringing new friendships, meaningful connections, and treasured memories that stayed with her always. Yet through every move and every chapter, her one true constant home was always with her husband, Bob.

Judy married her high school sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Bemmels, on March 28, 1967. Together they shared a life rooted in love and partnership while raising their three children, Lynnae, Robert Jr., and Wade. As the years passed, their family grew to include nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy for Judy.

A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Judy found happiness in life’s simple moments. She valued time spent with those she loved—whether sharing “Pepsi breaks” with her dear friend Carleen, supporting her children in all their activities, working at the University bookstore, or enjoying life outdoors surrounded by family. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren; coloring, doing puzzles, crafts, and baking. Judy loved telling stories about her “adventures with Bob” and taking motorcycle trips with Bob, Lynnae, and close friends Paul and Arlyss.

Judy is survived by her children, Lynnae, Robert Jr. (Danielle), and Wade (Kacie); nine grandchildren: Heather, Da’Lynn, Darrell, Brielle, Bella, Breckin, Ryder, Chase, and Alexa; and two great-grandchildren, Tahlia and Andre.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her parents, Leroy and Marcella; her brother, Roger; and sister, Barb.

Judy will be remembered for her gentle kindness, devotion to family, and ability to find joy in the everyday.  A Celebration of Life will be held June 6, 2026 at the Best Western in New Ulm, Minnesota.  The family welcomes friends and family to gather there as we share memories and honor Judy from 3:00-7:00 pm with a service at 4:00 pm.
