Carol Suzanne Clobes was born to Henry and Irma Wismer on October 14, 1939 in Neenah, WI. When she was young her parents moved to Arizona. She was confirmed in her faith at Grace Lutheran Church in Tucson, AZ. She graduated from high school in Tucson and attended the University of Arizona for one year.
She met Harold Clobes at a church youth group while he was in the Air Force and stationed at Davis-Monthan Air Force base. There were married at Grace Lutheran Church on December 30, 1961.
After marriage they resided in Alamogordo, NM. Howard was employed at the White Sands Missile Range. In the late fall of 1965 with one child in tow and another on the way the family moved to Fairfax, MN and began farming.
While living near Fairfax, Carol was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, and the Ladies Aid. She also volunteered at Treasure Haus in New Ulm, MN. Howard and Carol farmed together until Howard’s passing on December 16, 2016. After his passing Carol moved back to Tucson, AZ where she passed away on June 12, 2026.
Carol is survived by her children, Joy of Fairfax, MN; Ronald (Julie) of Alexandria, MN; Pamela Sarne (Bob) of Shoreview, MN; and James (Ashlie) of Fairfax, MN. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Robert King, Phoenix, AZ; and many more relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; parents, Henry and Irma Wismer; parents-in-law, Harold and Agnes Clobes; siblings, Paul Wismer and Ellen King; son-in-law, Les Sarne; many brothers and sisters-in-laws, one nephew and two nieces.
Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
