Carolyn Marian (Drusch) Klingenberg

March 30, 1929 -February 27, 2023

Carolyn Marian (Drusch) Klingenberg passed away February 27, 2023 at the age of 93 in Walla Walla, Washington.

She was born March 30, 1929 in Morgan, Minnesota to William and Matrona (Zimmerman) Drusch, where she attended and graduated from Morgan High School in May of 1947. She met her husband of 55 years, John Klingenberg and married him on August 23, 1952. They farmed  in the Morgan area until June 1975 when they moved to Walla Walla, Washington, residing there until their deaths.

While married to John they enjoyed traveling to Europe (Germany, London, Switzerland) and much of the US including Hawaii, Alaska, Florida, Arizona (where they snowbirded for over 13 years) and most of the Western US national parks. The summers in Washington state were spent camping and fishing. They were active members of 3W’s and Idle Roamers camping groups and she was a member of RSVP, a retired and senior volunteer group.

Carolyn enjoyed quilting. She sewed almost every day making quilts of all sizes and various crafts. She had fun going to crafts sales where she displayed and sold many of her items. Yard sales were also a passion of hers finding all sorts of bargains to pass onto family members.

Carolyn was preceded in death by husband, John, in 2007. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth (Sue), Roger (Terri), Kurt (Kim), daughter, Jean, in addition to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Lucy (Dean) Christensen, and brother, Lyle (Joan) Drusch.
