Charles J. Sievert, age 85, of Gibbon, MN passed away Friday, December 16, 2022 at the GlenFields Care Center in Glencoe, MN.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Moltke Township with Pastor Karl Grant officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – Gibbon Chapel and will continue one hour prior to the service at the Church on Thursday. Charles John Sievert was born March 30, 1937 to Paul and Alma (Lilienthal) Sievert in Moltke Township, Gibbon, MN. He attended St. Peter’s Lutheran School and graduated from Gibbon High School.
Charles was united in marriage to Sharon Case on August 10, 1957 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fairfax, MN. After marriage the couple farmed together in Moltke Township. After farming Charles worked at 3M for 27 years. Charles enjoyed going to auctions and loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Moltke.
Charles is survived by his children, Lori (Terry Bruns) Boehm, Kimberly (Ian) Sing, Pamela Murphy, John Sievert and Michele (David Glamm) Sievert; grandchildren, Kara (Matt) Berdahl, Heather (Nate) Ott, Lucas (Becca) Sing, Katie (Ryan) Wilfong, Dustin (Ashli) Sievert; great-grandchildren, Noah Trebbensee, Henry Ott, Audrey Ott, Evan Berdahl, Maren Sing, Holden Sing, Kolby Wilfong, Kiera Wilfong, Zayne Sievert, Zaylia Sievert and step-great-granddaughter, Zoey Leighton; Charles’s brother, Loren (Beverly) Sievert and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon Sievert; sisters, Joanne (Erlin) Dreier and Eunice (James) Janicke and two infant great-granddaughters, Katelynne and Kathrynne Wilfong.
In lieu of flowers, the Sievert Family prefers memorials to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
