Kenneth A. Matties, age 72, of Gibbon, MN died Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center, Sleepy Eye, MN.

A graveside service was held at 12 noon on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at St. George Catholic Cemetery in St. George.

Kenneth Anton Matties was born on February 20, 1948 in New Ulm to Edwin and Stella (Beyer) Matties. Farming was Ken’s life, and he continued to farm right up to his passing. He also enjoyed meeting up with “the guys” for coffee and conversation.

Ken is survived by his sister, Marlys Matties of New Ulm; and a brother, Leon Matties of rural Gibbon.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor’s choice.
