July 10, 1945-November 17, 2021

Mary Dalueg, age 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Woodstone Senior Living in New Ulm.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm. Pastor Timothy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery in New Ulm.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 22 at Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Visitation will continue from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, November 23 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Ulm.

Mary is survived by her sons, Dave (Shirley) Dalueg of Essig, Dan (Linneah) Dalueg of New Ulm, Darron (Jackie) Dalueg of New Ulm, and Dustin (Jamie Wenninger) Dalueg of New Ulm; 7 grandchildren, Brooke (Justin) Dauer, Megan (Ryan Kuck) Dalueg, Chloe Dalueg, Hunter Dalueg, Stephanie Dalueg, Samantha Dalueg, Sophia Dalueg; siblings, Collete Franta of New Ulm, Marlene Herschmann of Gibbon; Kay (“Jim”) Bratsch of Northfield, Joleen (Bob) Hoffmann of Sleepy Eye, Gary (Marilyn) Vait of Sleepy Eye, Debra (Brian) Meyer of Le Sueur; and sister-in-law, Rosa Vait; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald Dalueg; parents-in-law, Herbert and Orinda (Schultz) Dalueg; brothers, LeRoy, John, and Francis Vait; and sister-in-law, Diane Hippert.

Mary Theresa Vait was born July 10, 1945 to William “Bill” and Cecilia (Schneider) Vait. She graduated from Fairfax High School. Shortly after graduation, she went on a double date with Ronald Dalueg and the couple began dating. They were later united in marriage and spent over 50 years together. Mary began her career as a factory worker at B.F. Goodrich in New Ulm and continued working at locations like Pantasote and 3M until her health forced her to retire.

Mary’s cooking will always be remembered by her family. She also loved going to softball tournaments, collecting cardinal figurines and photos, decorating her house in the color yellow, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Although Mary has left those behind who miss her dearly, she is reunited with Ron and her family in Heaven. Blessed be her memory
