Ordell J. Grosam, age 89, of Fairfax, MN died Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Fairfax Community Home.

Due to current social constraints, there will not be a public visitation or service. A Private family service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020. The funeral service will be streamed on the Minnesota Valley Funeral Homes Facebook page.

Ordell Janette Rubischko was born on September 15, 1930 in Camp Township, MN to Martin and Agnes (Weber) Rubischko. She attended the Gibbon Country School.

Ordell was united in marriage to Leo Grosam on September 15, 1947 in Gibbon, MN. Ordell and Leo farmed in rural Fairfax. She was a homemaker raising her family. Ordell enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a member of Catholic Aid, Ladies Aid, and was involved in 4-H with her children. Ordell’s retirement years were spent with her flowers, Christmas ornaments, puzzles, and writing letters to her friends and family.

Ordell is survived by her children, Diane (Jerry) Bianchi of New Ulm, Mike (friend Judy Winsted) Grosam of Springville, IA, Tom (Ilene) Grosam of Brownsdale, MN, Larry (Susie) Grosam of Fairfax, Brenda (Ron) Janni of New Ulm, Kathy (John) Schoening of Jefferson, IA, Maribeth (Mike) Vait of Fairfax, and Paul (friend Juanita Harris) Grosam of Brooklyn Center; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Betty Malecek of Redwood Falls; sisters-in-law, Glenny Rubischko and Janet (Leo) Plotz; brothers-in-law, Benny (Cleo) Grosam and Russ (Ruth) Beert; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; her parents; daughter-in-law, Deb Grosam; brothers, Martin (Maurene) Rubischko and Bob Rubischko; sister, Donna Mae (Pat) Dummer; brother-in-law, Joe Malecek; and sister-in-law, Marge Beert.
