The end of the school year is a few short weeks away. Schools will continue in the safe learning plan through the last day of the school year, which means that masks continue to be required for staff and students inside the school building. During recess and physical education, students and staff are able to go without a mask if they choose to do so.

Cedar Mountain Elementary Principal, Mrs. Patti Machart, has been a constant presence at Cedar Mountain Elementary School for more than four decades. Now, as she prepares to enter retirement, she looks back on her time both in the classroom and in the principal’s office.

As we enter the month of May, our school and our seniors prepare for the end of their K-12 school experience. This group of seniors started the 2020-2021 school year with lots of unknown and we are excited for them to finish strong as they transition to the next phase of their lives. We look forward to a successful graduation and an enjoyable last few weeks of school.

The March 15 regular meeting of the Cedar Mountain School Board took place in Franklin.
The Board approved the following donations: $3,200 from National Association of Agriculture Educators to the Ag Department and several donations from CPAC and CMBA totaling $2,049.65 to the boys’ and girls’ basketball programs.
