GFW’s Lady T-Birds headed to LeSueur to tackle the Giants of LeSueur-Henderson in a non-conference battle on Thursday, February 2.
The first half of the game was a back-and-forth battle that stayed close throughout. The T-Birds managed to edge out a lead going into the break, with a halftime score of 26-23.

The Cedar Mountain boys’ varsity basketball team traveled to Sleepy Eye on Monday, February 7 for a Tomahawk Conference battle again the Sleepy Eye Indians.
The game was a nail-biter from the beginning. The teams traded baskets and, at the end of the first half, the Cougars held a two-point advantage, with a halftime score of 27-25.

The GFW girls’ varsity basketball team headed to Springfield on Tuesday, January 25 to take on the Tigers on their home court in a Tomahawk Conference match-up.
The first half went well for the T-Birds. The teams battled back and forth, with GFW pulling out in front before the halftime break.
At the end of the first half, the T-Birds held a 30-25 advantage.

The GFW boys’ varsity basketball team traveled to Westbrook on Saturday, January 22 for a non-conference game against the Westbrook-Walnut Grove Chargers.
The T-Birds had an early lead, but the Chargers made their intentions known pretty quickly, closing the gap and building a lead that the T-birds just couldn’t recover from.

The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars hosted the Indians of Sleepy Eye on Friday, January 28 in Morgan.
The Indians kicked things off with a couple of baskets to take an early lead. The Cougars answered on a three by Teresa Larsen and a pair of baskets by Abbie Hacker early in the game, but they struggled with turnovers and rebounding, which gave the Indians a significant advantage.

The GFW Lady T-Birds hosted the Wolverines of Sibley East in a non-conference game on Monday, January 24.
The T-Birds set the stage early and controlled the first half, outscoring the Wolverines nearly two to one. At the break, GFW had built themselves a 30-17 advantage.
