The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars traveled to Hector on Monday, January 31 to take on the Mustangs of BLHS in a Tomahawk Conference battle.
The teams kept things close early on, but before long, the Mustangs jumped out in front. By the end of the first half, the Lady Cougars were facing a 19-27 deficit.

The Cedar Mountain boys’ varsity basketball team traveled to Springfield on Friday, February 4 to face the Springfield Tigers on their home court in a Tomahawk Conference battle.
These two teams met earlier in the season, and the Tigers came away with that game. The Cougars were hoping for a different outcome this time around, but it wasn’t meant to be.

The GFW boys’ varsity basketball team hosted the Wabasso Rabbits in a Tomahawk Conference matchup on Tuesday, January 18 in Winthrop.
The T-Birds kept pace with the Rabbits through most of the first half, but in the final minutes before the break, the Rabbits pulled away and carried a 26-39 advantage into the locker room.

The GFW T-Bird boys’ basksetball team went head-to-head with the Knights of Sleepy Eye St. Mary’s on Friday, January 21 in Sleepy Eye.
The game started with the teams trading baskets and the lead for the first several minutes. At about the 10-minute mark, the T-Birds took the lead and held on until just before the break.
