The Cedar Mountain FFA 2020 Crops Team, which includes (left to right) Rosalyn Madsen, Kate Lorang, Keegan Lorang and Austin Christensen, earned first place at the Region V contest on Friday, January 10 at Ridgewater College in Willmar, Minnesota. Individually, Kate Lorang placed first out of 120 competitors.

Have you ever wondered what a situation would be like if you had a chance to say something different? That's the premise of the one act play, "Do-Overs" GFW Theatre Member will be presenting to the public on Monday, Jan. 20th at 5:00 pm in the Jr/Sr High School Auditorium. The cost is $4 for students and $7 for adults. GFW students who have their school passes will be admitted for free.

Happy 2020! I hope all of you had an enjoyable Holiday Season, and the New Year is off to a great start for your families. It is wonderful to have the students back as they seem eager to see friends, classmates and teachers after the break and there is definitely energy back in the buildings.

The holiday season is often known as the season of giving. It is a rewarding feeling to give a gift to a family member or friend, send cards to those who do not live nearby or to just spend time with others. Cedar Mountain Schools recognize that we have a unique platform to put our students in a position to give back to their communities. The cities of Morgan and Franklin are outstanding supporters of our schools and students and it is great to be able to reciprocate that support.
