A Whirlwind for the GFW Superintendent
Last week was an absolute whirlwind. After starting the week with an all-district staff Zoom call, I participated in six community meetings with two in each town. Thank you for attending! It’s been fun getting to know residents and business owners in the GFW communities.

The GFW School Board me on Monday, July 20, for their regular meeting. In addition to members of the board and school administrators, there were approximately 25-30 members of the public present.
After the agenda was approved, Board Chair Phil Klenk thanked everyone for coming and allowed the two members of the public that had indicated they wanted to do so, to speak.

The regular monthly meeting of the Cedar Mountain School Board was held on July 20, 2020 in the auditorium at the Morgan school.
The Board approved the agenda and donations received, including $300 from the Cedar Mountain Booster Club to the Athletic Department and $3,000 from the City of Franklin to Community Education for Summer Rec.

At a special school board meeting on July 6, new GFW Superintendent Jeff Horton presented his 100-Day Plan.
Horton started in his role as Superintendent, officially, on July 1, but had put in some time before that, working with outgoing Superintendent Lonnie Siefert and meeting with staff and community members.
