At halftime of the girls’ basketball game on Monday, February 1, long-time GFW teacher and coach Robert Kaukola was inducted as the newest member of the GFW Athletic Boosters Hall of Fame.
Kaukola is also the second half of the only father-daughter pair of inductees, since his daughter Rebecca, a former GFW athlete, was inducted in several years ago.

On Saturday February 6th GFW Bowling Varsity One team competed in a tournament at Bolero, Brooklyn Park. Due to restrictions, they were eventually able to host the Three-Person Baker tournament even though these teams qualified last fall.
GFW was one of 20 teams invited to this tournament. After pool play, they ended up being seeded fourth, and went on to finish the tournament in fifth place receiving medallions and some scholarship money.

On Tuesday, February 2, the Cedar Mountain boys’ basketball team played host to Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart in a Tomahawk Conference matchup. Cedar Mountain hopped out to an early lead and never looked back, as they cruised to an 84-64 victory.

The GFW Lady T-Birds played host to the New Ulm Cathedral Greyhounds on Monday, February 1.
The T-Birds kicked things off with a three-pointer by Brynn Busse early on. That set the tone for the game, as GFW proceeded to go on an 8-0 run to take an 11-point lead within the first few minutes of the game.
