In their second Tomahawk Conference match of the week, the Cougar girls faced off against the Springfield Tigers on their home court in Morgan on Tuesday, September 19.
The Cougars took the match easily in three sets with scores of 25-18, 25-13, and 25-13, which was a nice change for the girls following their five-set battle the previous evening.

The GFW Thunderbirds varsity football team hosted the Lester Prairie Bulldogs for their 2023 Homecoming game on Friday, September 22.
The T-Birds had the ball to start the game. Their first drive started deep in their own territory. They chipped away at the field, mixing up rushing plays with passing, taking time off the clock, and converting several times to earn a new set of downs.

The GFW Thunderbird football team headed for Medford on Friday night to face the Tigers in a conference battle.
The Tigers had the ball to start the game, but their first possession didn’t last long. They lined up to punt the ball on 4th and four, but a bad snap landed their punter in the end zone, resulting in a GFW safety.

The GFW volleyball team had another busy week this week with three matches on their schedule.
Their first contest was on the road at Martin County West on Monday, September 11. It took all five sets, and a lot of work, but the girls earned another victory in this match.
The Mavericks took the first set with a score of 25-20 and the second set with a score of 25-10.

The Cedar Mountain volleyball teams headed to Wabasso on Tuesday, September 12 for a Tomahawk Conference battle against the Rabbits on their home court.
The Cougars were undefeated in regular season play up to this point, but the Rabbits had a plan to put a stop to their streak.
The first set went to Wabasso with a final score of 25-16.
