The Cedar Mountain girls’ basketball teams hosted the Lakeview Lakers in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday, February 14 in Morgan.
The teams met back in December during the holiday tournament and in that case, Lakeview came away with the win. This time, the Cougars were determined to generate a different outcome.

The GFW girls’ varsity basketball team hosted the Falcons of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in a non-conference matchup on Monday, February 6 in Winthrop.
The T-Birds hit the floor ready for action. Brynn Busse put the first points on the board for the T-Birds, and the Falcons answered quickly. The teams traded shots for the first several minutes, and mid-way through the half, the T-Birds trailed by two, 8-10.

The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars hosted the Greyhounds of New Ulm Cathedral in a Tomahawk Conference match-up on Thursday, February 9 in Morgan.
This is the second meeting of these two teams this season, and the first one went to the Hounds so the Cougars were looking forward to an opportunity to turn the tables.

The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars traveled to Wabasso on Friday, February 3 to face the Wabasso Rabbits on their home court.
The Cougars struggled from the start. They couldn’t get their shots to fall, and they had trouble with ball security, making it easy for the Rabbits to jump out in front and built a significant lead during the first half.

The GFW boys’ varsity basketball team hosted the Sibley East Wolverines in a non-conference match-up on Monday, January 30th.
The game was a battle from the start. The T-Birds put the first points on the board and built an early 6-0 lead on baskets by Dominic Rose and Cole Jacobson.

The Cedar Mountain girls’ varsity basketball team headed to Sleepy Eye on Tuesday, February 7 to take on the Indians of Sleepy Eye Public in the first part of a girls’/boys’ double-header.
The Indians jumped out in front early and never looked back. By the end of the first half, the Cougars were facing a 28-40 deficit.
