This is the Season to be Giving. At Cedar Mountain Schools we have been celebrating the holidays and learning that it is often better to give than to receive. Research shows that donating one's time and talents is both beneficial to the receiver AND the giver. Our students are realizing that this month. Here are examples of kind deeds and generosity that have taken place in our district:

Our students are working on their winter concert. The concert this year will be on Thursday, December 16th. There will be two separate concerts with our Kindergarten through second grade performing at the first concert and our third through fifth grade students performing at the second concert. At the time that I am writing this, we are still trying to determine exact start times. A letter will go home next week to families regarding the concert.

The Cedar Mountain School Board held a regular meeting November 15, 2021, in the Morgan High School media room.
Once the agenda and October 2021 bills were approved the board accepted donations from Cougar Pride Action Committee (CPAC), Blomeke Construction, Kerkhoff Plumbing and Heating, AgQuest, and Land O’ Lakes.

The November GFW School Board meeting was held November 15.
The meeting began with a recognition of all substitute staff that have worked hard to help students and staff for many years and especially during the pandemic.

The 2021-22 school year is off to a great start at GFW with students taking advantage of new program offerings, taking steps toward their preferred career pathways, and utilizing support systems being offered by our dedicated staff. As a district, GFW has been through a lot in the last couple of years, but I am proud to say that we are on a great path and our students are continuing to benefit from our strategic plan efforts.

Brooke Hoffbeck of Morgan was awarded the highest degree achievable in the National FFA Organization, the American FFA Degree. The degree shows an FFA member’s dedication to FFA at the chapter and state level.
