Just one year ago, we worked with a community-based committee to set a strategic plan for our district for the next five years. We outlined five focus areas each with several goals to work towards, and I am excited to be able to report that we are making great progress on all areas of our plan.

The Cedar Mountain School Board held their regular monthly meeting April 11, 2022.
The Board began by approving the consent agenda which included $7,500 from CPAC for the purchase of new playground equipment, $50 from Tim and Sarah Sullivan to FFA, and $100 from Redwood Area Cattlemen to FFA.

Several GFW Students received recognition recently for their submissions to the VFW Auxiliary’s new Placemat Contest. There has been a lot of excitement throughout the halls of GFW Elementary! Students and staff alike greatly enjoyed celebrating I Love To Read Month during February with students really committing to extra reading and participating in a variety of fun literacy activities. We also really enjoyed the participation from our community and those who came into the building to read to classrooms including members of the GFW Pioneer Express FFA, a local Sheriff’s Deputy, and more.
