In their second five-set match in as many nights, the GFW varsity volleyball team earned a victory over the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers on Tuesday, September 13 in New Ulm.
The T-Birds earned the win in the first set, with a score of 25-21.
The Chargers took sets two and three with scores of 22-25 and 16-25 respectively.

The Cedar Mountain Lady Cougars hosted the Rabbits of Wabasso in Morgan on Tuesday, September 13 in a Tomahawk Conference matchup.
The Cougars dominated in the first set, taking the win with a score of 25-6. The Rabbits came back in the second set and offered more of a challenge, but the Cougars pulled out a win there too, 25-20.

The PLS Patriots A volleyball team won their second tournament in a row on Saturday, September 17. They were the Champions in the 8th grade division of the GFW Slam-Ball-Ree tourney. The Patriots came out on top in their matches vs. St. Mary's, BLHS, Sleepy Eye Public, and GFW to earn the top spot. The GFW volleyball teams hosted the Indians of Sleepy Eye Public for a Tomahawk Conference battle on Thursday, September 15 in Winthrop.
Things went well for the T-Birds in the first set and it looked like they might be able to earn their third victory of the week. GFW came away with the set win with a score of 25-19.

Two new scoreboards were installed at the softball fields in Morgan back before the pandemic. Boards containing the names of the sponsors that helped to cover the costs were added recently. Morgan Area Sports Association raised the funds and oversaw the installation of the new electronic scoreboards. They will be used by the summer recreation programs as well as for the MAC summer softball tournament. The boards are controlled by the umpires on each field via a remote control.
